Parnsip, Carrots and Apples – Food for Baby

Parsnips are a nice winter vegetable that have a nutty taste.

They are full of flavor and nutrients and are a great food to offer to your little one.

Although very easy to prepare, parsnips may be a bit on the dry side when you roast them.

Try this flavorful combination recipe below to create a wonderful fruit and veggie combo.  Serve it to baby and serve it as a side with your holiday or everyday meal. Suitable for babies 6-8 months and older.

Parsnip, Apple & Carrot Mash

Parsnip, Apple & Carrot Mash

Ingredients

  • 4 parsnips
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 apples
  • pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice carrots, parsnips and apples
  2. Steam until tender
  3. Add cinnamon if desired

Notes

Puree as needed, adding water to thin if required. You may also chop or dice for a finger food salad
