This website and The Wholesome Baby Food Guide book organized recipes for babies in a manner that is not traditional. Rather than separate recipes and foods into the traditional stages, the recipes are categorised as:
First Foods - Great Single Ingredient Dishes
Second Foods - Fruit and Veggie Combinations
Third Foods - Recipes for Fingers, Spoons and Plates
Breaking out foods into charts according to stages is a great way to give parents some ideas of what foods may be good to start with and what foods to progress with. Please visit the Starting Solids page to learn more about beginning the journey into solid foods and the reasons why certain foods are better at different ages and stages.
Always consult with your baby's pediatrician about starting solid foods and other health issues; not all babies will be starting solid foods or eating the same foods at the same time.
